Do you get an error message saying “Failed to connect to FTP Server jonboy60.com:21″ on your WordPress? Is this normal? The username or password are incorrect? Hostname is wrong? Did I type anything wrong?
Actually, this is said to be a common problem. This problem existed ever since. So this is the bad news? Anyway, a good news is that the problem can be easily fix! Nothing technical involved.
The solution to this might be to use “localhost” instead of the real “domain name” or “ip-address”. The problem happens because when the server uses NAT, which gives the server two ip-adresses. This should only occurs when the server or router is not configured right with hostnames and loopbacks.
So in conclusion, This is what is should look like when WordPress asked you:
Hostname : localhost
username : youruserlogin
password : yourpassword
Then just click proceed or press enter straight.
